110 strong tractor run raises thousands for local charities

On a sunny day in May, the community of the Llyn Peninsula were treated to the incredible sight of 110 tractors being driven around the country lanes of Pen Llyn and Eifionydd!

The hugely successful charity tractor run was organised by three young farmers’ clubs, Clwb Godre’r Eifl, Clwb Porthdinllaen and Clwb Llangybi, and the money raised was split between three charities including the North Wales NHS Charity, Awyr Las.

Elin Owen Jones, one of the event organisers, said: “We had such a brilliant turnout and it was so nice to get together after the pandemic and do something fun.

“May 9 was luckily a really beautiful sunny day, and the tractors travelled around 25 miles around Pen Llyn and Eifionydd.

“Around £3,600 was raised on the day and Awyr Las will receive £1,250, we chose the charity as the money goes to improve the lives of patients and staff.”

This incredible donation raised at the tractor run will go towards some of our upcoming projects that will help improve care for patients across North Wales.
