VIRTUAL Snowdonia Marathon Eryri 2020

Want to get involved in a healthy challenge to motivate yourself, get fit, take a breath of fresh air and unwind from daily stresses?

Introducing the VIRTUAL Snowdonia Marathon Eryri Challenge - your chance to be a part of North Wales’ toughest marathon, with a virtual twist, between 24th October – 31st October 2020.

Over 7 days in October you will have the opportunity to run this epic marathon from the comfort of your home towns, local streets and beautiful countryside to complete 26.2 miles, as a team or as an individual challenge.

Teams of up to four can take part as a virtual team to stack up the miles collectively throughout the week – this equates to less than a mile each per day over 7 days. (Based on 4 participants in a team – min 2, max 4 participants per team)

Those wishing to raise money in aid of Awyr Las will qualify for a discount on their entry fee and we will throw in a complementary fundraising pack and technical t-shirt to support your wonderful efforts. Not only that, you will also receive official race event resources which include a personalised running number, bespoke memento, finisher’s certificate and your name on the official leader board.

You'll find the registration form at the bottom of this page.

Did you know?

Awyr Las is the North Wales NHS Charity. Awyr Las funds enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Gifts from the public make a huge difference to the care and treatment that our dedicated NHS staff are able to provide.

Awyr Las is offering up to 30% discount on race entry. We simply ask that runners with a charity place pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship or as close as possible to the suggestions below:

  • Individual places to raise £50
  • Team of 2 to raise £150
  • Team of 3 to raise £170
  • Team of 4 to raise £200

Discounted places are very limited. First come, first served!

Where will my sponsorship go?

The money you raise can go towards any fund, ward, department, service or project within the Awyr Las Charity. This means you can run to raise money to benefit a cause you really care about.

Some of the Awyr Las funds support:

  • COVID-19 response
  • People living with dementia
  • Patients and families affected by cancer
  • Children receiving mental health support
  • People affected by stroke
  • People affected by limb loss

There are over 400 funds within Awyr Las, so no whichever area of healthcare is closest to your heart, you can make a difference with the North Wales NHS Charity.

Worried you won’t make the target?

No need! We understand that fundraising can be a challenge, and sometimes it's hard to know where to start. When you register for your charity place with Awyr Las, the support team will send you a free fundraising pack, which includes tips on raising money and a charity t-shirt. We'll also be with you every step of the way - you can contact us any time via social media, and call or email us Monday - Friday.
